Foster Care Program for Rescues
Program Description:
*Please note: the program is not intended for dog owners who want to work with us directly. You must be going through a rescue already to take advantage of our program. Example: Rescue is full and needs place for the dog to stay until the dog can be re-homed. This program is designed for re-homing dogs to new pet owners not for a temporary assistance till existing owner can come get their dog.
Our program is designed to assist local dog rescue organizations by providing foster care for rescue dogs waiting for a forever home. Just Like Home helps with the coordination of adoption events, visitations and grooming to increase the likelihood of rehoming each dog.
Terms and Conditions:
- Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. It is the responsibility of the rescue to make arrangements for vaccination updates as needed for each dog when they become due.
- It is the responsibility of the rescue to cover any and all veterinarian expenses.
- Dogs that are not fixed are not allowed to play with other dogs must be kept separate
- All dogs must be social with people since our staff are employees not volunteers
- Rescue dogs must be social with other dogs to be allowed in outdoor group play, otherwise unsocial dogs will be taken outside on their own periodically throughout the day/night. Note: We have limited space for non-social dogs.
- All dogs will be kenneled when indoors unless a group room or suite is available.
- Dog food and any medication must be provided for estimated duration of stay.
- If a dog becomes ill, injured or dies while in our care, the rescue will not hold Just Like Home responsible and releases all claims arising from loss or injury.
- New rescue dogs must be brought in during our hours of operation from 7 am – 7 pm.
- Quantity: 10-15 dogs maximum at any time. We cannot accept more than 5 rescue dogs over major holiday weeks.
Financial Responsibility:
- Payment for services will be due the end of every month or when bill reaches $1,000, whichever comes first.
- Just Like Home will retain valid credit card information on file for automatic monthly payment/billing purposes.
Pricing for Services:
- 50% off our standard grooming rates for all sizes/breeds.
- 50% off day care 7am-7pm
- Small dogs under 30 pounds $10.00 a day
- Large dogs over 30 pounds $15.00 a day
